Mollie Fitzgerald who played a minor role in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ is accused in the fatal stabbing of her mother.
She was charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of her mother.
The Olathe Police arrested the 38-year-old actress on Tuesday after the police discovered the body of 68-year-old Patricia Fitzgerald on December 20 in her home in Johnson County, Kansas.
She is under the custody Johnson County Jail with a $500,000 bond, Kansas City Star reported.
Fitzgerald portrayed the role of ‘Stark Girl’ in the 2011 Captain America film top billed by Chris Evans.
She told judged on Thursday that she will represent herself in court.
The family is arranging a funeral for the victim on Friday in Gardner, Kansas.
