Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson said that 2019 has been a colorful and challenging year for him.
But the biggest and most controversial chapter was his break-up with actress Bea Alonzo which also involved young actress Julia Barretto.
Months after their break-up, some netizens spotted Anderson and Barretto wearing the same bracelets, which the actor denied to be identical.
“No, right now I am just focused on yung mga gusto kong gawin. We are trying our best on what we need to do. Wala muna, focus muna sa trabaho at saka ‘yung mga advocacies,” Anderson said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
The actor said he is now focusing on his role as Philippine Youth Commission ambassador.
“May bagong platform para makatulong sa iba and I am just very excited. Iikutin namin ang Pilipinas but ang maganda nito kasi ako ‘yung magbibigay kung ano ang mga gusto kong gawin, kung ano ang mga gusto kong tulungan at sa paraan ko,” Anderson said.
When asked about how 2019 was for him, the actor said that public opinion should not define a person.
“Yeah, very colorful year. Pero ganoon talaga, you just roll with the punches. At the end of the day, ‘wag mong kalimutan ang sarili mo. The opinions of others doesn’t define you,” he added.
Anderson revealed that he will not be celebrating Christmas in the country because of a basketball game in Canada.
