Actress Cristine Reyes has spoken up about the alleged animal cruelty when she posted their video of her daughter enjoying their dog sledding tour in Finland.

According to a report by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep), a netizen commented on the sorry state of the dogs used for the tour.

In the video, Cristine and daughter Amarah were riding a sled while five dogs pull them in the snow-covered husky safari in Rovaniemi, Finland.

The actress told the netizen that the dogs are treated well there. She also added that the she has two dogs and she is very well aware what animal cruelty is.

The replies in the comment section were already limited and the comment made by the netizen could no longer be seen.

Some netizens came in to the defense of Cristine.

One Instagram user with handle @i.am.annep says dog breeds like Siberian, alaskan huskies, and alaskan malamutes are snow dogs and they are very hyper.

“They’re not exploited instead they are well looked after. I feel more sorry for these dogs when people bring them in the tropics as a pet or don’t even walk them,” she wrote on the comment section.
