Seasoned actress Aiko Melendez has a wish for her ex-husband Jomari Yllana.
She wished that her son, Andre Yllana will understand the issue that his father Jomari is facing.
“Because I grew up in a broken family also na ‘yung mom ko has never said anything bad about my dad. So siguro naging idol ko ‘yung mom ko kasi no matter how bad my past was, I never hated my father because of my mom,” Aiko told GMA News.
Aiko and Jomari were married for three years before splitting up in 2003.
The couple had a son named Andre Yllana.
The actress wanted her kids, especially Andre, to love and understand their father despite his misdeeds.
“So I’d like to instill that also to my kids na kung may lapses man ‘yung mga tatay niyo, huwag niyong i-hate but to understand more,” she said.
She also revealed that she tried to talk to Jeremy about their son Andre.
“Kasi gusto ko napi-feel talaga nila na kahit hiwalay kami, if we can’t be friends, at least we’re civil with the kids, ‘di ba?,”
Jomari is in hot water after his ex-partner, Joy Reyes, alleged that he abandoned their children.
Last week, Jomari admitted that he is dating Prescilla. He said they were given the chance to meet again in this lifetime.
The actor also clarified that he is not a womanizer as alleged by his ex-partner. This, as he told his side of the story regarding his breakup with Joy. He said it was due to ‘irreconcilable differences’.
In an Instagram posts last week, Joy associated his ex-partner with a ‘rotten garbage’.
“Rotten garbage can’t be hidden for long. The stench will speak for itself,” she said.
