Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin, who also is Philippine Red Cross volunteer, revealed her admiration for legendary rock icon, Bono, vocalist of rock legend U2, which is in the Philippines for a first-ever concert to be held at the 55,000-seat Philippine Arena in Bulacan as part of their Joshua Tree 2019 world tour.
Locsin yesterday attended the signing of partnership between the Philippine Red Cross and California-based drone services company Zipline where Bono is a board member of. The Irish band’s front man was at the media event to lead the announcement about the tie-up.
“High salute to My love, Bono, the multi-awarded @U2 frontman who has also been a frontman for advocating social justice worldwide,” Locsin said on her Instagram account.
“Despite his tight schedule, he has chosen to accommodate @philredcross’ invitation and introduced us to this new technology of saving human lives through aerial drones,” she said.
Zipline aims to deliver essential medical needs in remote parts of the world.
