Gazini to Tisoy-ravaged Philippines: Babangon Tayo!

Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados posted on Instagram a close-up photo of her lying on the beach.

She said she is in Atlanta, Georgia, USA right now, but couldn’t help but think about home, which was ravaged yesterday by Severe Tropical Storm Kammuri (Philippine name: Tisoy).

“I read on the news that Typhoon Tisoy (“Kammuri”) is about to leave the Philippines. While it may have caused serious destructions, we are known to be resilient people. I am praying for everyone’s recovery,” she wrote.

“Babangon tayo!” she ended.

The 5’9″ Filipina-Arab beauty from Talisay, Cebu will slug it out with 89 other contestants from around the world.

The coronation night of Miss Universe 2019 will be held on December 8 (December 9 Philippine time) at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray from the Philippines hopes she would pass on the crown to Ganados and make history as the first Philippine-back-to-back win ever in pageant history.
