Senator Kiko Pangilinan and his wife megastar Sharon Cuneta dispelled claims of President Rodrigo Duterte that they are having marital problems.
In a speech he made last Saturday during the celebration of Bonifacio Day, Duterte made a remarked that the couple is experiencing serious marital issues.
“Pinapaalis na nga ng asawa niya sa bahay niya, ayaw kay wala ibang matirahan. Totoo. Tanungin mo. At kung sabihin mo nagsisinungaling ako, I will resign,” Duterte said.
Pangilinan defended himself and Cuneta by sharing a photo of him and his wife on Facebook.
“Relaks muna kasama ni Sharon matapos ng buong-araw sa bukid kasama nina Miguel, Zsa Zsa, at Conrad,” Pangilinan said.
Cuneta, on the other hand, said that the President likes to make a joke because her husband is an opposition leader.
“I haven’t been able to see or speak to him since before my brother’s campaign for Mayor! So I don’t know where this is coming from, honestly. If my husband and I separate, you’ll hear it from me!” Cuneta said.
Cuneta added that her married life has never been happier.
“Please rest assured that all is fine with my family. My stress comes from other people and things, but right now my family and marriage have never been happier!” she added.
