Actress Nikki Valdez shared on Instagram that she was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday due to urinary tract infection.
Valdez shared that her cough also worsened over the weekend as she experienced sleepless nights.
She went to the emergency room due to “chest pains, chilling and flu symptoms” that made her weak.
Doctors then diagnosed Valdez with respiratory tract infection.
Valdez the advised her followers to never take their health for granted.
“Yes, there are bills to pay, schedules to accomplish, deadlines to meet, a family to take care of and so many more BUT if we do not take care of ourselves, mas mahirap naman na magkasakit at maospital (it is harder to get sick and be hospitalized),” she said.
“So, if you feel something, do yourself a favor— do not self medicate,” she added.
Valdez then told her followers to check themselves right away.
“Have yourself checked right away and learn how to rest when need be. Slow down and take each day one step at a time,” Valdez added.
