Jane de Leon, who will portray the role of Mars Ravelos komiks heroine ‘Darna’ in ABS- CBN 2, met actress Marian Rivera.
The latter also played the same role in 2009 in GMA7.
The two crossed paths at an event of a media clinic, reported ABS-CBN News.
Rivera took to Instagram and posted a photo of her and de Leon.
“Nice to meet you, Jane!” Rivera captioned the post on her Instagram Stories.
De Leon told a report of ABS-CBN News that the Darna role is both physically and mentally demanding.
“Mentally, nakaka-pressure, kasi siyempre, everyone nag-e-expect sa akin. But it’s okay, nandiyan naman ang family and friends ko, especially the management to guide me. ‘Pag nagwo-worry ako, nagpe-pray lang ako para mawala,” the young star added.
De Leon also asked for advise from former Darna star Liza Soberano, who backed out from her role because of her finger injury.
