Former Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters and Camarines Sur Governor Migz Villafuerte are engaged.

The 28-year-old former beauty queen and concert producer announced their engagement on Instagram, yesterday.

“Your girls getting hitched” Peters wrote on her post. The beauty queen and the CamSur governor are in a five-year relationship.

In a 2017 interview with ABS-CBN, Peters shared that it’s not love at first sight between her and Migz.

“I was here, I was about to join Miss World. And when I arrived in the Philippines, I didn’t know anyone,” she said in a report published by Pep.ph.

“So, I was invited to an event in Cam Sur and we met there. It was not a love at first sight. Sobrang hindi ko siya type at first. But then, the more time we spent together, I realized he really has a good heart. His heart is always in the right place and, you know, he loves his family,” Peters added.

Her engagement comes after Popstar royalty Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli announced their engagement on Instagram last Thursday. (TN)
