Jim Paredes hits Bong Revilla’s TV comeback

Singer Jim Paredes couldn’t contain his disappointment over the new TV project of Senator Bong Revilla Jr. in GMA Network.

Paredes said he believes that Revilla should not be given a television show for children because of his history.

Revilla was charged with plunder over the multi-billion pork barrel scam. He was later released after the court found him not guilty of plunder.

The senator ran in the 2019 midterm polls and he won a senate seat at the 11th spot.
“Sen. Bong Revilla returns in GMA Network with drama-fantasy show for kids. PERA PERA PERA lahat. Okay lang sa inyo na maging role model siya ng kabataan? C’mon GMA. You can do better than this,” Paredes said in a tweet.

The untitled TV project reported by GMA Network is set to replace Revilla’s defunct TV show “Kap’s Amazing Stories”. The show was a consistent top rater on its time slot but was later on scrapped months after Revilla was imprisoned.

Paredes is a known staunch critic of President Rodrigo Duterte.
