Binibining Pilipinas Charities, the local organization which sends Filipina beauties to international competition, has spoken on what happened to Miss Grand International Philippines Samantha Lo in Paris, France.
The organization confirmed in a statement that Lo was detained last week in Paris and deported back to Manila because of the issue in her Philippine passport.
BPC said that the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Lo has no record of a Philippine passpport and what she’s carrying is ‘tampered and altered’.
“It was admitted by Lo’s parents, that she secured her passport through a ‘fixer’, the BPC said in a statement.
The organization said that since Lo is also a US passport holder, she no longer need a transit visa to Venezuela.
Binibining Pilipinas has denied that they did not give any assistance to Lo during her situation in Paris.
The organization said that if the Foreign Affairs Department did not step in, Lo would be suffering from very serious consequences.
Binibining Pilipinas said that they had tried reaching out to Lo’s family but they were unreachable. They also tried to respect Lo’s privacy on the fake passport issue.
