After her grandfather’s passing, Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto is now back to work on a new online series with Kapamilya hunk Tony Labrusca.

On Monday, Barretto announced that she will be working in the new series ‘I am You’ on streaming site iWant.

Barretto said that she is grateful for this new project.

“We prayed with the whole team just for protection and for strength and for people to accept and really appreciate the hard work that we are going to be putting into this project,” Barretto told ABS-CBN News.

The young actress adds that she is so happy with all the blessings she is receiving despite having a rough and challenging year.

“More than anything else, excited po ako sa lahat po na dumarating na proyekto at mga blessing. It’s going to be exciting the next couple of months and even more exciting 2020. God is good. God is so good,” Barretto said.

Barretto also thanked those who prayed for her grandfather’s eternal repose.

“I want to say thank for you for everybody who have been sending their love, their support, their concern for my grandfather. His legacy will live on and I will make sure of that. He is a great man,” Barreto said.

She also asked for privacy after the controversy hounding her family especially her mother and her sisters.

“I think it’s also nice if everybody would give the family the privacy and the respect to resolve their issues. Pero wala po kasi akong kinalaman diyan. Hindi ko po masasagot ‘yung mga tanong tungkol sa kanila kasi nga po it’s not my battle. Hindi ko po siya laban. I will be praying for them. Pero for now, my energy, my time, I would like to spend it on the blessings that I have been receiving. God has been so good,” Barretto explained.
