After the controversial announcement of his portrayal in the biopic of Filipino hero General Miguel Malvar, Senator Manny Pacquiao is set to portray another hero in the movie ‘Freedom Fighters’.
Pacquiao will portray the role of Colonel Macario Peralta, which will be a Hollywood-Philippines global feature.
The film is set to start rolling and shooting next year.
Peralta was the Guerilla leader who fought with the Japanese army during World War II.
Because of his courageousness and bravery, Peralta was honored by the United States Distinguished Service Cross and Silver Star.
Both Peralta and Pacquiao served as Philippine senators.
The film will be a joint venture with a Hollywood production company.
