Marian Rivera on traffic comment: ‘Hindi po ako super rich’

Marian Rivera took to social media to defend herself from bashers after her recent traffic remarks drew flak from the public over the weekend.

Marian was quoted saying: “Traffic? Traffic’s been going on for so long. There’s no reason for you to vex yourself with traffic.”

On Monday, the Kapuso queen then clarified her remarks.

“Lahat tayo ay biktima ng trapik, at kani-kaniyang paraan lang kung paano tayo mag-cope sa sitwasyon, Marian said.

The Kapuso star then told her bashers to watch the video in full where she was asked about traffic and what she is personally doing to address it.

“I just wanted to give a light take on my personal experience, but was misinterpreted,” Marian said.

The actress then said that she hopes the news organization did not cut her video and take her statements out of context.

“Pinaninindigan ko po ang aking sagot and i take full responsibility, pero humihingi rin ako ng paumanhin sa mga nasaktan, nainis, napikon at kahit sa mga mema lang— hindi ko po nais na gawin ito sa inyo,” she said .

Marian assures her fans to be extra careful on her statements.

“Sa susunod, magiging mas maingat ako sa aking mga sinasabi, at sana ganoon din ang mga pahayagan na tinitingala ng nakararami,” she said.
