Kapamilya star Maja Salvador has been a regular visitor in Dubai.
The actress said in an interview that her upcoming digital series ‘Hinahanap-hanap Kita’ hits close to home because Dubai has a special place in her heart.
“For me Dubai is special to me. Why? My cousins are here. Dubai helped realise the dreams of my cousins,” Maja said in an interview.
Salvador also shared how her family’s dreams came true because of her relatives who were able to work in Dubai.
“I saw their struggles. I can’t say that they are now super rich, but their life has improved because of their work here in Dubai,” she added.
Salvador hopes that her new OFW series will shed light on the plight of OFWs in Dubai and their families back home.
“My character here will be the eyes of the Filipinos in the Philippines. I’m not an OFW, my husband is the OFW, who is missing and who I need to find,” she added.
