Korean superstar Lee Seung-gi to star in new Netflix series “Vagabond”

Lee Seung-gi fans, better set your calendar alarm for his trip to the Philippines on October 12.

The Philippine Star reported that the 32-year-old Korean superstar will be visiting the Philippines on Oct. 12 as part of the promotional series for his new Netflix K-drama, “Vagabond Voyage.”

Lee, known in Korea as the “Ballad Prince,” will be playing the lead role, alongside her leading lady Bae Su-ji or also known to fans as Suzy.

“I had some chances to go to the Philippines (before) but it was not exactly (meant) to be the chance for me to actually visit. But for the first time, I’m going to visit the Philippines in October, and I have a huge expectation for that. Well, there is a lot of support that I get from the Philippine fans when I’m in Korea so I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart,” Lee told Filipino reporters through an interpreter.

“Vagabond Voyage” premiered today (September 20) worldwide via streaming giant Netflix .

The portrays a stuntman and aspiring movie star Cha Dal-geon. His character finds himself getting involved in a tragic commercial plane crash and ends up uncovering a national corruption scandal.

Suzy, on the other hand, will be playing the role of a secret agent.

Together they will uncover the conspiracy.

This is the second time that both of them has worked together.

Previously, they have worked together for the 2013 historical-fantasy drama “Gu Family Book”.
