On the last night of Gina’s wake, her brother ABS-CBN Chairman Emeritus Gabby Lopez honored his sister’s love and compassion for others.

“I have come to realize that when Gina follows her heart, she finds that there are many people who are galvanized to do her bidding. It is because the Filipino leads with their heart. Gina has always known this. It is always how she could get these people to follow and execute the impossible tasks,” he said.

The final moments on sending Gina’s remains to her final resting place became a private family event after two days of being open to the public.

Different personalities from all walks of life paid tribute to the former DENR Chief.
