Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen said her lips were about to “explode” after suffering from an autoimmune condition called angioedema.
The condition happens when there’s a swelling of the deeper layers of the skin caused by a build-up of fluids.
Teigen said this could be a result an altitude sickness.
The model took to Twitter to show her swollen lips.
“Very upset and saddened that my own birth state, Utah, has chosen to poison me with terrible altitude sickness,” Teigen said.
She also took the opportunity to talk about autoimmune diseases.
“Did you know angioedema can be triggered by altitude sickness? Learn something new every day! My lip about to explode. Goodbye world It’s so big it’s shiny and hard like glass ,” she said.
