After seven years, actor James Reid bids goodbye to his exclusive contract with VIVA Films and VIVA Talent Agency.
Showbiz online new site Pep.ph said that both camps have not released any statement yet but sources say that the decision to separate ways was ‘mutual’.
His Australian father, Robert Malcolm Reid, will now manage and handle James’ career.
VIVA Entertainment was behind James’ success after his stint at ABS-CBN’s reality Tv show ‘Pinoy Big Brother’.
VIVA launched James together with actress Nadine Lustre in the film ‘Diary ng Panget’. This paved the way for both actors to reach stardom through their loveteam popularly known today as ‘JaDine’.
James was set to take the lead in an upcoming Pinoy superhero film ‘Pedro Penduko’ but later on decided to back out from the project due to an injury.
He was also one of the judges of the recently concluded singing competition ‘Idol Philippines’.
All eyes are now on James and his father on how they will handle the actor’s career.
