Gerald Anderson warns about ‘fake news’; appeals for netizens to be ‘responsible’

After breaking up with Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo and romantically linked to young actress Julia Barretto, Gerald Anderson continues to post on Instagram actively about his military training.

The actor went to a three-day Scout Ranger training to prepare for his upcoming teleserye ‘A Soldier’s Heart’.

In his recent photo on Instagram, Anderson shared his photo while wearing a military uniform and speaking to several people.

“This country… very honoured to be able to go Home (GenSan) and bring awareness about peace and terrorism issues terrorist recruitment of our youth through social media,” Anderson wrote.

Anderson tells netizens not to completely trust information found online. He said it is better to always do our own research.

“Be careful of false information.. dapat lagi tayo magresearch bago mgdecide on what to believe..” he said.

The actor also appealed to his fellow celebrities to be mindful of the post.

“Civilians, celebrities, news channels lets be responsible on what we take & put on social media and other media accounts,” Anderson said.

The actor has been a subject of online criticisms and accused of ‘ghosting’ Alonzo.

Anderson said that his break up was not caused by a third party but because of personal fights.
