‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ is the very first PH film shown in Jeddah

The first film of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards together, ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’, made history as the very first Filipino movie to be shown in the cinemas of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ opened in Jeddah on August 8, with sold out screenings in all of its cinemas.

Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah Ed Badajos said that the screening of ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ marked a historic event between the two countries.

“I am pleased to be among the first to watch the first-ever Filipino film to be shown in public cinemas in Saudi Arabia. This was a historic event that will go a long way towards promoting a greater cultural understanding between the peoples of Saudi Arabia and the Philippines,” he said.

The film is also the very first collaboration between Kathryn and Alden, as well as the first project without their usual loveteams. It is about two OFWs in Hong Kong who met at the most unexpected time and circumstances. It hit the 500-million-peso mark at the box office just on its 12th day of screening.

The movie is also being screened in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea.
