Hollywood actor Liam Hemsworth confirmed on Instagram his separation with wife and actress/singer Miley Cyrus.

“Hi all, just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” Hemsworth said in a post with a sunset photo.

The Australian actor said that their separation is a private matter and he will not make any more comments about it.

“This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false,” he said.

The representative of Cyrus confirmed the split on Sunday saying that the two will focus now on their careers.

The two Hollywood stars have been in an on and off relationship in the last ten years.

The two first got engaged in 2012 but broke up a year later before finally reuniting in 2015.

Rumors of the split started when Cyrus posted an Instagram photo without her wedding ring.

She was also spotted in Lake Como in Italy together with Kaitlyn Carter. Photos of their vacation showed their intimate moments together.

Early this year, Cyrus revealed how unique her relationship with Hemsworth and how she continues to be sexually attracted to women.
