Universal Pictures cancels film release of “The Hunt”

Universal Pictures,together with the filmmakers, have decided to cancel the release of thriller movie “The Hunt” on theaters worldwide.

According to Variety, the decision came after “thoughtful consideration” not to go with the release of the said film.

The universal studio in a statement that it was a tough decision for the company, however, the studio’s leadership believes that the film could wait and that “now is not the right time to release this film.”

“The Hunt” is supposedly set to be released on theaters September 27.

The Variety also reported that the Universal previously put a temporary stop on marketing for the film after a series of mass shootings.
