After break-up with Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson hopes to be a ‘better man’

Actor Gerald Anderson said that his recent Scout Ranger training at Camp Tecson in Bulacan helped him survive challenging times, including the controversy involving actresses Bea Alonzo and Julia Barretto.

“Ang importante doon is we learn something from all of this,” Anderson said in an interview at a fun run event Sunday.

The actor said he is starting to feel better now and his training with the Philippine Army helped him keep his optimism in life.

“Better now. Better now. Malaking bagay yung training, malaking bagay na nalagay sa perspective yung mga bagay-bagay, so very happy, but malaking tulong,” Anderson said.

Anderson said that he staying away from negative things amid the controversy involving Alonzo and Barretto.

“Sa daming negativity, alangan ako maging nega din ako, di ba? The only way to fight negativity is being positive, and with positive thinking, positive vibes, and doing something positive ” he explained.

The actor said he wants to channel his energy in the right away and avoid entertaining negativity.

He also said that he wants to be a ‘better man’ amid the controversy.

“So, yun ang goal ko—to come out a better man and a better person,” he added.

With all the bashing he is getting for allegedly cheating Alonzo with Barretto, the actor expressed that he is more concerned with the people around him.

“Kasi kung ako lang, okay lang. Sanay naman na ako. Pero mahirap yung mga pamilya ko,” Anderson said.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Anderson insisted that there was no third party involved in his break up with Alonzo.

Barretto however posted her defense right after his explanation making netizens wonder if it’s a planned move to justify their rumored love affair.
