Kapamilya actress Bela Padila has decided to take a Grab car but ended up being concern on her safety and privacy.
In a tweet on Friday, Padilla shared that her Grab driver announced her address to his fellow drivers when he recognized who she was.
“Rode grab today and the driver announced on the grab radio where I live. Hello @grabph ??♀️??♀️??♀️ This can’t possibly,” Padilla said in a Tweet.
The ride hailing service company then responded to Padilla and said that this should not be happening because they committed to passengers’ safety and privacy.
“Hi Bela! We’re so sorry to hear about your experience 🙁 This incident shouldn’t have happened since we value every passenger’s safety and privacy,” Grab PH’s twitter account replied.
The company said it is now coordinating with Padilla and probe the incident.
Netizens have expressed their concern for the actress and even encouraged her to take legal actions and report it to authorities.
“Ayyyy nakoooo very very wrong to sa lahat ng pwede i announce ng grab driver yan pa talaga?♀,” one netizen commented.
“Tagging National Privacy Commission. Sounds like malicious disclosure tsk tsk,” an online user added.
Meanwhile, some netizens complained about the company’s prompt action on a celebrity’s post unlike ordinary riders who have been complaining about the ride hailing service.
