Actor Gerald Anderson has confirmed that there was a phone conversation between him and Julia Barretto’s father Dennis Padilla.
“Si Sir Dennis, tumawag siya sa akin,” Anderson told ABS-CBN News.
“Of course, he called me. I answered the phone. We had a good conversation. Tumawag siya kasi isa siyang concerned father. Anak niya ‘yun, e,” he added.
Anderson cleared Barretto from being involved on his break up with Bea Alonzo. The actor said that ‘personal fights and issues’ were the reasons why they got separated.
“Siyempre, alam natin na grabe rin ‘yung bashing sa side nila. No one deserves that. We had a good conversation,” Anderson explained.
It’s unclear though if Anderson asked Padilla’s permission to court Barretto like what other reports previously published.
Barretto, Anderson and Alonzo were the top trending topics on Twitter after the young actress aired her side of the issue.
