Julia Barretto to Bea Alonzo: This is bullying, I refuse to be your victim

Actress Julia Barretto sets the record straight and is now addressing the allegations thrown at her that links her to the breakup of Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson.

In what could be an ordinary Instagram post, Barretto shared a photo of her and Alonzo from an old TV teleserye.

On the first pages of her post, Barretto said that these past few weeks have been exhausting.

“My faith and patience and my strength were put to the test. I have endured many harsh words hurled against me. It’s exhausting and painful,” Barretto wrote.

The actress then listed down the two issues being linked to her. First was her alleged cheating on her ex-boyfriend Joshua Garcia and second, the allegations that point towards her as the third party that caused the breakup of Alonzo and Anderson.

Barretto then clarified that she and Garcia have publicly announced their breakup and anything she does on her love and private life can’t be considered cheating.

She insisted that both of them confirmed that there was no third party involved.

But Barretto then went straight to Alonzo. She said that the actress could’ve made their break up a private matter, but Alonzo made it a national concern.

“Bea, you wanted to keep your hands clean by not mentioning me in your controversial post, but with a click of your finger, in your sly way, you have charged everybody to destroy me FOR YOU,” Barretto told Alonzo.

The actress accused Alonzo for encouraging a culture of hate by purposely liking harmless photos and putting malice into the minds of many people.

“You are a woman of great influence and following. You could have used that power to promote strength and grace in women. This is downright bullying,” Barretto added.

“You can play the victim all you want, but I refuse to be your victim,” Barretto also said.

The actress then said that her post would not be enough to sum up what she had been through.

“It’s so hard to be human in this industry, but I still have every intention to stay,” she said.

Barretto explained that posting her side is setting her soul free and ‘getting her soul’ back.
