You’ve seen and heard of foreign nationals singing Original Pilipino Music (OPM) songs whose performances were uploaded online.
But this South Korean singer performing on the street takes on a request of singing a high-pitch Aegis song that wowed and earned him praises from Filipinos.
The video uploaded on Youtube through Daily Busking’s account has already been viewed 1,659,416 times since April 19.
Daily Busking identified the performer as former I Can See Your Voice (ICSYV) singer Minje Kwon.
In its caption, Daily Busking said Kwon sang the song “Sayang na Sayang,” after he received the request during one of his street performances.
In the comment section, Kwon, who commented using his Youtube account, said this was the first time he sang that song.
Youtube user Ma. Cecilia Anonuevo praised him for singing the “hard song,” saying he really nailed it.
Another Youtube user Rocelyn Efren said Filipinos are proud of him for singing it well.
Three days ago, Kwon uploaded a video of him singing a cover of Yeng Constantino’s “Ikaw”.
