Veteran actress helps OFWs reach their dreams

Veteran actress Marissa Delgado’s recent TV appearance was in the hit TV series ‘Ang Probinsyano’.

At 68, the actress acknowledges that TV and movie projects become seldom and so she ventured into a recruitment agency.

She even went back to college and got a degree to manage her business.

Delgado now goes around the country to find potential Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) for her recruitment agency in 1985.

“I almost got discouraged because I could place only one talent after a year. I was about to give up when a friend advised me to be patient, and go on with the business,” Delgado told Inquirer.net.

Now Delgado’s agency is one of the most sought after agencies, providing talents like in Japan.

The Philippine Overseas Employment and Administration (POEA) awarded Delgado as a Top Performer for having ‘zero welfare cases’.
