Former PBB housemate Wendy Valdez gives update on son’s health

After four months, former PBB housemate Wendy Valdez gave update on her son Seth’s health condition.

Her two-part Instagram post included a photo of Seth undergoing an electroencephalogram (EEG) to evaluate his brain activity following his seizure.

Wendy wrote, “Before I and my husband left for Europe, we have been going to UST for Seth’s leg therapy.”

Seth was born with a medical condition called spina bifida.

According to scientific research, spina bifida is when a baby’s spine and spinal cord do not develop properly in the womb, causing a gap in the spine.

It is a type of neural tube defect. The neural tube is the structure that eventually develops into the baby’s brain and spinal cord.

Wendy revealed on her Instagram account her and husband Norman Garcia’s happiness and hardship in raising their son.

Seth was scheduled for a hip surgery which was postponed because he had seizures.

Last week, Seth celebrated his second birthday with a birthday bash prepared by the Garcia family.

“You make us appreciate even the slightest details of life, and you are greatly used by God to transform our hearts and characters. Your story leads me closer to our maker, and stretches our faith every day,” Wendy posted on her IG account.

Despite their problems, the couple stays strong as they know God has dreams for their baby. In an earlier interview she said “Seth is a gift from the Lord.”
