Multi-awarded actor Eddie Garcia’s death is a heavy loss to Philippine showbiz, with some netizens couldn’t help but say that Garcia is now reunited with other ‘Kings of Philippine Cinema’.
Photos or Garica, Comedy King Dolphy and King of Phlippine Movie Fernando Poe Jr. resurfaced online.
The trio was last seen together in 2004, when Garcia and Dolphy campaigned for Poe in his bid as Philippine president.
Poe passed away in the same year. Dolphy died 8 years after in 2012.
Senate President Tito Sotto said that Garcia will now be reunited with his best buddies.
“As FPJ was onstage, Manoy Eddie would creep in and make the crowd more jubilant. Ronnie will now see him as he creeps into Heaven and meet his old buddy,” Sotto said.
Poe’s daughter Senator Grace Poe also shared a photo of FPJ with Garcia.
“Isa kang mahalagang haligi ng industriya at naging isang tapat at mabuting kaibigan sa aking ama at sa aming pamilya.We will miss you dearly. You and your family are in our prayers,” Poe said.
On his Instagram account Eric Quizon, son of Dolphy, shared another photo of Garcia with the late Comedy King.
“I have been blessed to have worked with a master, We will never see him again but he will always be in our hearts. Goodbye Tito Eddie. Please give my dad a hug.”
