The family of veteran actor Eddie Garcia is asking for continued prayers after Garcia collapsed in a GMA teleserye taping, Saturday.
Garcia was reportedly in a coma but regained consciousness hours after he was brought to a Tondo hospital.
In a statement to GMA News, Garcia’s family confirmed that the actor suffered severe heart attack.
However, Garcia is still under critical observation, according to his family.
“Our family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all those who have expressed concerns and extended prayers,” the statement said.
The family said that at 90, Garcia is still doing the thing he loved most, acting.
GMA 7 has yet to issue an official statement about the incident involving the 90 year-old veteran actor.
