Veteran actor Eddie Garcias was rushed to the hospital after an accident while shooting for ‘Rosang Agimat’, an upcoming GMA teleserye.
Initial reports said that Garcia is in a coma and was brought to Mary Johnston Hospital in Tondo, Manila.
Netizens and celebrities asked for prayers for the 90- year-old actor upon learning his critical condition.
“Natumba siya kaninang umaga sa taping ng bagong teleseryeng ginagawa sa GMA-7,” Director Armand Reyes said in a Facebook post.
A netizen named Glaysa Aposa posted photos of unconscious Garcia while being lifted by men.
Actresses Sunshine Cruz, Aiko Melendez and Vivian Velez all asked for prayers and speedy recovery of Garcia.
Columnist Allan Diones said that Garcia has been revived and will be transferred to a hospital in Quezon City.
