Ashton Kutcher lauds PH bill requiring students to plant trees before graduating

Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher commended a bill in the Philippines which aims to fight climate change by requiring Filipino students to plant trees.

According to previous reports, House Bills 8728 and 8727, which will require students and new parents to take part in the said environmental initiative, have been passed on third and final reading.

Through his verified Facebook account, Kutcher aired his opinions on the House bill which will mandate Filipino high school students to plant at least 10 trees before they graduate and receive their diplomas.

“Tree-planting is an awesome way to fight climate change,” Kutcher said.

Kutcher is a well-known American actor, producer, and entrepreneur whose most notable works include “Just Married”, “A Lot Like Love”, “No Strings Attached”, “Jobs”, and “Two and a Half Men” to name a few.

Netizens also commended the idea of mandating students to plant trees in order to help fight climate change and improve the environmental condition in the country.
