American pop singer Lauv releases music video shot in Manila

American pop singer Lauv has released a new music video which was filmed during his concert in Manila earlier this month.

His new single “Sad Forever”  talks about his experiences with depression.

The 24-year-old singer said he was able to finish writing the song during his flight to the Philippines and even sang it for the first time during the concert in the country.

The accompanying music video for “Sad Forever” shows Lauv surrounded by his adoring Filipino fans during his performance at Araneta Coliseum.

Lauv said he wanted the music video to help eradicate the stigma on depression.

He has also decided to donate the proceeds of his new single to several mental health organizations around the world, including one in Cebu.

Lauv, whose real name is Ari Staprans Leff, is a well-known Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and record producer who is behind the hit songs “I Like Me Better”, “The Other”, “A Different Way”, “There’s No Way”, and “I’m So Tired…”
