Mena Massoud, the actor who played the main character in the modern adaptation of “Aladdin”, chose to wear the creation of Filipino designer Francis Libiran when he promoted the film in the popular US talk show, Ellen.
Massoud went to the Ellen show on Tuesday wearing a black-and-blue custom bomber jacket by Libiran. He wore the jacket with a striped blue button-down shirt, a pair of black jeans, and leather shoes.
The 27-year-old Canadian actor appeared on Ellen with his co-stars Will Smith, who played the Genie, and Naomi Scott, who played Princess Jasmine.
Aside from Massoud, Hollywood star Darren Criss also made heads turn during the premiere of “Aladdin” on Tuesday with his outfit created by Libiran.
The Filipino-American actor-singer wore an embroidered art deco black jacket with a white long-sleeved shirt.
“Aladdin” is the live-action adaptation of Disney’s 1992 animated film of the same name. It tells the story of an Arabian street urchin named Aladdin who found a magic lamp containing a genie. He then wished to become a prince to impress the Sultan and win the heart of Princess Jasmine.
The anticipated live-action reboot of Aladdin arrives in UAE cinemas today, May 23.
