Did this Kapuso star audition for Darna without permission from GMA-7?

Rumor has it that Kapuso star Bianca Umali auditioned for the highly coveted role of “Darna” without the permission of GMA-7.

According to a report by PEP.ph, Umali did not seek the approval of GMA Artist Center (GMAAC) when she allegedly went to ABS-CBN to audition for the role.

It seems like there is nothing wrong with Umali seeking new opportunities for herself. However, Star Cinema, which is under GMA-7’s rival network ABS-CBN, will be producing the long overdue movie project.

If Umali did audition for Darna, it is unclear if she has violated any terms in her contract with GMAAC and if she will get in trouble for it.

Umali has not confirmed or denied the rumors but according to the report, ABS-CBN staff members saw her audition for the role.

GMAAC, which handles Umali’s showbiz career, is now reportedly conducting an investigation regarding the rumor.

Umais is currently one of GMA-7’s biggest leading ladies after appearing on shows like “Mulawin vs. Ravena”, “Kambal, Karibal”, and “Sahaya”.
