Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero and wife, actress Heart Evangelista, were among the early birds in Buhatan Elementary School in Sorsogon to cast their votes.
Escudero, who is running for the provincial governor of Sorsogon, arrived at 6:00 AM with his wife and his mother Evelina, who is also seeking reelection for her last term as 1st district representative, reported ABS-CBN.
Escudero is running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition and is one of the eight candidates for the gubernatorial post in Sorsogon.
His term as senator will end next month.
Escudero said that, in case elected, he will prioritize health and livelihood.
He and his wife are positive that the results of the election will be in his favor.
