JM de Guzman allegedly involved in bar brawl

Kapamilya actor JM de Guzman was allegedly involved in a fight at a resto bar in Quezon City on the night of May 7, according to the police.

P/Capt. Juan Mortel of Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of Quezon City Police District (CIDU-QCPD) said a man named Pitt Norman Zafra, a 35-year-old real estate broker, filed a complaint after he was physically assaulted by de Guzman and his companion at Flying House Resto Bar in Malingap St., Brgy. Teachers Village West, QC, Abante Tonite reported.

According to the other customers in the resto bar who witnessed the incident, de Guzman’s foreign companion approached Zafra’s table and suddenly threw a punch at him.

De Guzman followed his companion and walked towards the table. However, instead of putting a stop to the fight, the actor also kicked Zafra on the back.

The two immediately went out of the resto bar and the victim was taken to the East Avenue Medical Center.

As of press time, authorities were conducting further investigation on the complaint.

De Guzman has yet to comment on the issue.

However, his Instagram post before the incident suggests that he really went to the said resto bar where the brawl took place.

“@coachcastro_ ‘s Taco tuesday at flying house. see you later!” de Guzman captioned the video.
