Kapuso actress Heart Evangelista has taken to Instagram to express joy over a post-birthday gift from fashion icon and world-renowned shoe designer, Christian Louboutin.
The French designer, known for his luxurious red-bottom shoes, sent Evangelista a bag from his Manila-inspired collection.
Evangelista celebrated her 34th birthday on February 14.
“From France to the Philippines! My dear Christian sent me this super thoughtful gift as a belated birthday present. Merci, mon ami,” Evangelista said in an Instagram post dated April 23.
The photo showed Louboutin’s gift and a handwritten note.
As seen in the post, Louboutin’s gift is the Manilacaba tote which bares the image of the iconic Philippine jeepney.
Louboutin’s namesake luxury brand sells the bag for $1,590 or around P83,000 based on current exchange rates.
Louboutin and Evangelista met in 2017 when the designer visited Manila and attended the Philippine Tatler Ball.
They got to dance together during the said event and became friends since then.
