Manila, Philippines– Netizens couldn’t get over Nadine Lustre’s video shouting the name of the Pinay heroine, “Darna.”
In a Youtube vlog, Viva talent Donnalyn Bartolome convinced Lustre to do the famous transformation stunt of the Pinay heroine. Bartolome gave her an improvised stone, Lustre took and swallow it then shouted the word ‘Darna’ with so much conviction.
A netizen uploaded a clip from the vlog which now has almost a hundred thousand views. Darna also became a trending topic on Twitter Philippines, Wednesday afternoon.
Singer and Idol Philippines judge Moira Dela Torre described Nadine’s Darna as “perfect.” Actor Juan Miguel Severo praised Bartolome for convincing Lustre to do the act.
In a press briefing last week Lustre said she is ready to audition for the role but it is up to her management if they will tell her to do so.
Lustre is the consistent top pick to play Darna after Liza Soberano backed out from the project.
