Manila: Filipino marvel comics fans celebrate the introduction of its first superhero ‘Wave’ last April and she will be part of the series Marvel: War of the Realms New Agents of Atlas.
The excitement didn’t stop there because one of the artists admits that the character’s inspiration was actress and multimedia star Nadine Lustre.
Now the comic books about a new set of Asian superheroes get another exciting feature because the two Asian heroes will be fighting over the territorial sea. A familiar scene and issue for Filipinos and Chinese nationals.
In the preview pages of the Marvel: War of The The Realms, Wave was intercepted by Aero asking her to leave because she has no jurisdiction in the area. The Chinese hero even told Wave to go back to the Philippine sea instead.
Wave refused to follow and said that Aero has no right to question her because it’s not Chinese waters.
The battle between the two heroes was cut short when an enemy emerged from under the sea.
The other comic books character are in Mumbai fighting another opponent.
In 2016, the Philippines won the arbitral ruling at the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Hague that diminished China’s nine-dash claim in the South China Sea.
