Social media personality Kris Aquino surely knows how to catch everyone’s attention even in the middle of a natural disaster.
As a magnitude 6.1 earthquake was causing widespread panic at around 5pm yesterday, Aquino was in the middle of an on-cam interview. Her reaction to the earthquake was just priceless.
As seen on the video that has been going around social media, Aquino first joked about packing up their things and calling it a day because of the earthquake.
She then remembered her sons, Josh and Bimby, and told her staff to check on her kids at home because their house was built near a fault line.
“Ganyan talaga unang reaction mo, i-check ‘yung mga bata. And then Green Meadows kami… Actually, we’re not in the exact fault line but we’re near,” she said.
Despite the fear that everyone felt because of the sudden earthquake, Aquino then tried to make the situation lighter by joking that she’s thankful she was able to buy all the luxury items she wanted before the world ends.
“It’s the end of the world na I’m telling you. Buti na lang binili ko lahat ng Chanel na gusto ko. At least na-experience ko siya,” Aquino said which drew laughter from everyone in the room.
She then continued on to say that she got dizzy because of the earthquake and that she felt like fainting.
“Hihimatayin ata ako. Ang pangit nito,” Aquino told the interviewers. “Oh, eto na kwento niyo, ni-rush sa ospital dahil nilindol. Ang chaka.”
