Queen of All Media Kris Aquino was being interviewed by the media when the Magnitude 6.1 quake hit Metro Manila yesterday afternoon.
“May lindol. And nawalan ng kuryente. Uwi na tayo. I wanna go home. My sons. Uy mag-check kayo. Tawag sa bahay!” Kris said while feeling the tremor.
“Yes, malakas yun. We live in Green Meadows. Check my house! We live in the fault line. Check si Bimb and si Kuya!” She added referring to her sons Josh and Bimby.
Still feeling the jolt, she uttered, “Na-vertigo ako. Ikaw din?” Asking a reporter in front of her. “Pahinging Serc! Can I have Sturgeron and Serc please? Utang na loob mahihimay yata ako, ang pangit nito. Eto na ang kwento niyo, Kris dinala sa hospital dahil sa lindol. Chaka!”
While feeling dizzy, she managed to crack a joke.
“It’s the end of the world na. I’m telling you. Buti na lang binili ko na lahat ng Chanel na gusto ko. At least na-experience ko,” said said matter-of-factly drawing laughter from reporters.
“Bwisit, laki pa ng tax na binayaran ko. Sana pala in-evade ko na lahat ng ginastos ko,” she added.
Then, she got worried again for her kids.
“Check nyo sa bahay ha. Yung games! Baka nagtopple over yung bagong TV,” she told her staff. Apparently noticing another female reporter calling her kids, “Yun talaga ang first reaction ng mga nanay, tumawag sa bahay to check yung mga bata.”
The video was posted on Facebook by Master Gwapings, generating 38,000 shares.
Kris was noticeably sporting a new short hairstyle.
In her Instagram account, Kris shared that she had falling hair, one of the side effects of the medicines she is taking.
Kris has been diagnosed with two auto immune disorders, one of which is a form of lupus.
