Some netizens raised their eyebrows on the photo of veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez on Instagram showing three caregivers taking care of her twins.
Netizens noticed the caregivers wearing face masks while taking care of Sanchez’ babies while she can carry her dog near her twins.
“Nakakalungkot tingnan ba’t ang yaya, may facemask tapos okay lang ilapit ang aso sa baby?” one netizen asked.
“Why they’re wearing mask?” asked another netizen.
There were then some who responded by saying that nannies are really supposed to wear masks for safety precaution.
“Safety precaution. Ganyan dito sa Canada lalo at newborn at infants. Di pa complete ang vaccines nila kaya required yun. And caregivers need to wash hands all the time too. Mahirap nang magkasakit lalo at baby pa,” one said.
“It is a standard operating procedure for nannies taking care of a newborn. I want to add that they are also a license caregiver. They know what will be the best for the babies,” another one replied.
It can be recalled that Sanchez and Roxas first announced that they are now proud parents to fraternal twins, Pepe and Pilar, through an Instagram post.
In the said post, Sanchez, 54, shared a photo of her twin’s little feet with the caption: “I think if you believe hard enough, the miracle you most want can come true.”.
The couple said that the twins were “born by surrogacy from our embryos”.
