Darren Espanto mourns death of murdered road manager

Singer Darren Espanto took to social media to remember his former road manager who was brutally murdered on Monday morning.

According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Espanto’s former road manager Carmencita Pelayo went to Pampanga with her friend Karwin Guevarra to meet and get some money from another friend alias “Regine”.

“May kukunin silang pera. Bali yung bank account nung dalawa doon ipapasok yung pera, ‘yun yung sinabi ng asawa ko,” Pelayo’s husband, Mark John Hernandez, said.

However, Police Staff Sergeant, Roldan Tababa said that the bodies of Pelayo and Guevarra were found lifeless inside the latter’s house in Barangay Tabun in Pampanga.

“Regine” is now a person of interest in the crime.

Pelayo’s parents said that their daughter and “Regine” have been friends for a long time now but the latter owed their daughter some money, and they can tell that it was the suspect’s motive to killing Pelayo.

Meanwhile, Espanto was in shock when he found out what happened to his former road manager.

“I still couldn’t believe the news of your passing, ate Karen. Sobra kasing masakit. Napakabuti mong tao,” Espanto said on Instagram.

“You are family to us… You will forever be my “Ate Karen.” I will keep all the memories that we had through the good times and the bad and I will always remember the things you’ve taught me in the past. I love you so much and I’ll keep you close to me heart always,” he added.
