After her father Jim Paredes owned up to his controversial video, Erica Paredes said that she will be taking a temporary break from social media to deal with the problem.
The eldest child of the veteran singer took to her Instagram Stories on April 2 to announce that she won’t be using her personal social media accounts for a while.
“Taking a break from my personal social media for a bit.
“Too much toxic energy and honestly, it’s not as fun as it used to be,” she said.
However, Erica, who works as a chef in Paris, said that she will still post photos of her dishes on a separate and business-related account.
She went on to say that her close friends can still send her personal messages via social media.
“In the meantime, be nice. Mind ya business. Post things that will actually benefit society. Check on your loved ones often,” she added.
Erica ended her series of Instagram Stories by thanking the people who continually support her and her family.
“Just a quick THANK YOU to friends and even followers I have never met who reached out,” she said.
“I had an outpour of love and support in my inbox this morning.
“We are dealing with it. Just want life to go back to normal already. Whatever that really means in my not normal life.
“Again see y’all soon. Just wanted to say thank you. Means a lot,” she added.
Erica did not mention it directly but many jumped to the conclusion that this is the result of her father’s admission about his private explicit video which went viral online.
Paredes has since apologized for the video but said that it was private and not meant for public consumption.
