Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu found herself in a predicament when she got stuck in traffic as she was on her way to a fashion show.

Coming from the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, Chiu drove all the way to Bonifacio Global City in Taguig as she was set to walk the runway at the Bench Fashion Week.

However, they found out that an electoral campaign was taking place in the middle of the road causing heavy traffic in the area.

“Really? May kampanya sa gitna ng daan?” Chiu wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Sarado ang daan on a Friday afternoon? Sana umabot ako!”

Chiu then decided to step down of her vehicle and started running from the entrance of BGC to the fashion show’s venue at The Playground in the Bench Tower which has a distance of around three kilometers in between.

“Can’t do anything but run!” she shared on Instagram.

“Good thing the runner in me activated right away! ‘Let’s go, Kim!’ I told myself. ‘I can’t miss this! No! No! No!’ So, I ran three kilometers in 10 minutes! Maybe, it’s all about the adrenaline rush! From the entrance of BGC to the Bench Building,” she added.

She said added that she was accompanied by her road manager and assistant and ran like superhero The Flash just to get to the event.

Chiu even added that it was “probably one of the most memorable fashion shows I had ever walked in.”

Netizens also commended Chiu for her professionalism.
