Migo Adecer released after posting bail

Kapuso actor Migo Adecer has been released from jail after he posted bail on Wednesday night.

To recall, Adecer was charged with reckless imprudence resulting to serious physical injuries and damage to government property, as well as disobedience to person in authority.

Adecer ran over two Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) employees, who were identified as Rogelio Castillano and Michelle Papin, driving under the influence.

The actor did not surrender right away. He, instead, engaged in a police chase along J.P. Rizal in Makati after the incident.

The 19-year-old actor’s car also hit a police mobile when he reversed his vehicle while refusing to go with the authorities.

When the police apprehended Adecer, a fake driver’s license was recovered from him.

Adecer has not yet personally addressed the incident but his legal counsel Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque has already spoken on his behalf.

“There was no real intent on his part to resist or disobey any persons in authority.

“Kung unruly yung dating sa video, that was because he was really scared and he was confused nung na-intercept siya, kasi hindi nga niya alam na may nasagi pala siya.

“He told me naman, vividly, sinabi niya sa akin na tutulong siya sa medical expenses ng mga ito.

“And because there’s a physical impossibility for him to do that now, as his representative, ako na yung kakausap sa kanila,” Atty. Abraham-Garduque said.

The GMA Artist Center has also released a statement about Acecer’s case.

The statement reads: “GMA Artist Center is closely monitoring the incident involving Migo Adecer.

“He is willing to assist the two people injured and his lawyer is now coordinating with them.

“We defer to Migo’s lawyer to address all legal matters regarding this incident.”

According to follow-up reports, the MMDA employees who got ran over are no longer planning on pressing charges against the actor.
